Practical Pony Handling
Practical Pony Handling (PPH) is our route to becoming an RSA (Riding School Assistant). It is run for an hour on a Wednesday evening from 6-7pm, after Pony Club, on a weekly basis, during term time.
During PPH, you will be based between the café – for written activities and down on the yard covering our general day-to-day duties – for practical activities. Over time, you will gain the knowledge and skills that are needed to become an RSA whilst covering the syllabi for BHS Progressive Riding Tests 1, 2 & 3, which will need to be achieved before becoming an RSA.
We generally cover a different topic on a weekly basis. You will gain practical and general equine knowledge, mainly based around our practices here at LME.
We recommend that you attend PPH on a weekly basis both before & whilst being an RSA.
After all, you will never know it all!
