Events Committee

The Liege Manor Events Committee organizes an ongoing programme of events and competitions in which livery owners, staff, and clients can participate as competitors and spectators.

The programme is intended to provide riders with the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge, to build up their confidence, and to gain experience of competing – all within a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.


The events are suitable for riders of all levels of ability and experience:

  • those who are new to competing and who wish to gain experience before entering outside competitions,
  • those who already compete regularly
  • and those who wish to enter just for fun or to add variety to their own and their pony's or horse's normal routine


Clients without their own horse or pony may be able to hire one of the Liege Manor school horses for the event.


The Committee awards a Junior and a Senior Cup for the rider and horse who have accumulated the most points in Show Jumping in each calendar year. Events also usually include a "fun" class for the enjoyment of spectators and participants alike.


For details of forthcoming events, please see the Events Committee Notice Board. In addition to Show Jumping and Dressage, future events may include Cross Country, and TREC amongst other things.


The Committee is made up of a small group of livery owners and staff who are always open to suggestions for future events and to volunteers to help at the events. Details of how to contact them are available on the Events Committee Notice Board.
